It trades some multi-hit capacity against common rounds for greater defeat of 7.62×39 API, in a multi-curve plate at 4.1 lb and 0.60″ thick. For professionals whose threat picture includes armor-piercing rounds, the U211 is the premium 200 Series answer.

Why the U211?

The U211 is the armor-piercing-hardened option in the premium tier of the 200 Series. In a multi-curve plate at 4.1 lb and 0.60″ thick, it is tuned to defeat more 7.62×39 armor-piercing rounds than any other standard 200 Series plate.
The U211 covers the common 5.56 and 7.62×39 threats, and where it separates from the U210 is armor-piercing defeat: two shots of 7.62×39 API against the U210’s one. It carries three shots each of the common lead and mild-steel rounds rather than the U210’s six, so it is the right call when armor-piercing margin matters more than maximum multi-hit against common ball.
For professionals whose threat picture is dominated by common ball and green-tip rounds, the U210 is the lighter, higher multi-hit choice. The U211 is for those who need the added armor-piercing margin.
One coverage note that applies to both U-series plates: they cover the special threat spectrum with the exception of 7.62x54R LPS. For LPS coverage in the 200 Series, the L211 or M210 is the plate.
