HESCO L110 Special Rifle Threat Side Plate

The HESCO L110 provides standalone Special Rifle Threat protection in a 0.58″ thick side plate. The 6×6 weighs 1.7 lb. Its documented threat matrix includes M193, M855 / SS109, M855A1, 7.62×54R LPS, and 7.62×39 API.

We typically sell the L110 with HESCO Special Threat torso plates. At 0.58″ thick, it’s also a good choice for users who want a thinner side plate. Thickness can matter more in lower profile armor, but some users simply prefer a thinner plate even in overt armor.

Where the L110 Fits

Threat entries reflect HESCO’s documented threat matrices. “Not listed” means the threat is not listed in the supplied matrix for that plate. It does not mean the plate is documented to fail that threat.

Things to Consider

The L110 and 3110 are close in weight at 1.7 lb and 1.6 lb respectively in 6×6, but the L110 is substantially thinner at 0.58″ compared with 1.09″ for the 3110.

Their documented threat matrices also differ. Both include M193, M855 / SS109, M855A1, 7.62×54R LPS, and 7.62×39 API. The 3110 also documents 7.62×51 M80 and .30-06 / 7.62×63 JSP.

The 3100 reduces the 6×6 weight to 1.0 lb with Level III protection. The 4100 and 4101 provide Level IV protection.
