The U210 is a premium 200 Series plate for professionals who want the thinnest, lightest multi-curve fit without giving up multi-hit coverage of the most common rifle threats. At 4.0 lb in the 10×12 shooter cut and 0.56″ thick, it is the lightest plate in the standard 200 Series rifle line.
The U210 covers the threats professionals face first, and it holds up to repeated hits: six shots each of 5.56 M193, M855/SS109 green tip, and the 7.62×39 M67 and M43 rounds. That multi-hit capacity against the rounds most likely to be encountered is where the U210 earns its place in the premium tier.
The U210 and the U211 are the two premium 200 Series plates, and they are tuned differently. The U210 is the lighter and thinner of the pair, built for maximum multi-hit coverage of common rifle threats. The U211 trades some of that multi-hit capacity for greater defeat of 7.62×39 armor-piercing rounds. Professionals whose threat picture is dominated by common ball and green-tip rounds are the natural fit for the U210. Those who need more armor-piercing margin should look at the U211.
One coverage note that applies to both U-series plates: they cover the special threat spectrum with the exception of 7.62x54R LPS. For LPS coverage in the 200 Series, the L211 or M210 is the plate.
