HESCO 4100 Level IV Standalone Side Plate

The HESCO 4100 provides standalone Level IV protection in a relatively thin 0.83″ side plate. The 6×6 weighs 2.3 lb. Its documented threat matrix includes M193, M855 / SS109, M855A1, M80, 7.62×54R LPS, B-32 API, M61, and .30-06 AP M2.

We often sell the 4100 with the HESCO 4403MC torso plate. We also sell it to customers who want Level IV side protection with a price advantage. At 0.83″, it is the thinner of HESCO’s two Level IV side plate options.

Where the 4100 Fits

Threat entries reflect HESCO’s documented threat matrices. “Not listed” means the threat is not listed in the supplied matrix for that plate. It does not mean the plate is documented to fail that threat.

Things to Consider

The 4100 and 4101 both provide Level IV protection. The 4100 is thinner at 0.83″ compared with 1.18″ for the 4101. The 4101 is lighter at 1.9 lb in 6×6 compared with 2.3 lb for the 4100.

The 4100 has a price advantage over the 4101. The 4101 reduces weight by 0.4 lb per 6×6 plate and its documented threat matrix also includes M80A1.

Compared with the 3110, the 4100 moves from Level III+ to Level IV protection. The 4100 is thinner at 0.83″ compared with 1.09″ for the 3110, while adding 0.7 lb per 6×6 plate.
