The 200 series plates have been designed for environments where concealability is a top priority and absolutely critical to the requirements of the mission. The HESCO L210 Special Rifle Threat armor plate was the original 200 Series plate: light, yet very effective against light armor-piercing (AP) rifle ammunition. It has since been discontinued and succeeded by the current HESCO L211, which carries the 200 Series forward with expanded threat coverage. The L210 Special Rifle Threat  (SRT) armor plate was part of the 200 series. It provided excellent low visibility armor that was affordable but nonetheless offered a very high degree of protection, even from light AP rounds. This armor plate is fully capable of defeating the standard AK 47  7.62×39 API round as well as the 7.62×39 MSC. It can also stop 5.56×45 M855 NATO Green tips.

The HESCO L210 plate is also fully compatible with the BI L110 Special Rifle Threat (SRT) Stand Alone Side Plates. The two sets of plates can be combined to offer a comprehensive protection zone. Moreover, the side plates can also be elevated so that they will be able to cover the heart even against side shots.
