Unity Tactical AXON SL LINK USB-C

The AXON SL is a compact, single-button remote switch for weapon lights and lasers. Its 45-degree angled button provides a natural contact surface, and the housing mounts directly to an M1913 Picatinny rail.

The LINK USB-C version connects to a weapon light through the Unity Tactical GASCAP tail cap, sold separately.

SierraTac offers two configurations: Standard for light-only control and SYNC for simultaneous light and laser activation.

      Standard vs. SYNC

      Feature Standard SYNC
      Buttons One One
Light connection LINK USB-C LINK USB-C
      Laser connection None Crane Plug
Switch activation Light only Light and laser together
      Momentary at switch Yes Yes
Light constant-on at switch Yes No
Light constant-on at GASCAP Yes Yes
Laser constant-on Not applicable Depends on the laser

      Standard: Light Control

The Standard AXON SL has one LINK USB-C lead connecting to the Unity Tactical GASCAP tail cap.

The button provides both momentary and constant-on activation of the weapon light.

      • Press and hold for momentary illumination.
      • Click to activate constant-on.
      • Click again to turn the light off.

The GASCAP tail cap also provides independent light activation.

      SYNC: Light and Laser Together

The SYNC AXON SL has two leads:

      • LINK USB-C: Connects to the GASCAP tail cap for weapon-light activation.
      • Crane Plug: Connects to a compatible laser’s remote-switch port.

Pressing the AXON SL button activates the light and laser simultaneously. Releasing the button ends momentary activation.

SYNC is momentary-only at the AXON SL switch. It does not have a mechanical constant-on latch.

This does not mean the weapon light loses its constant-on capability. The light can still be operated independently through the GASCAP tail cap, including constant-on.

      Understanding Laser Constant-On

Laser constant-on behavior depends on the connected laser.

Some compatible lasers recognize a double-tap from a momentary remote switch and activate their own constant-on mode. Others do not support this function.

The AXON SL SYNC does not create constant-on functionality in the laser. It provides the momentary switch input, and the laser determines how that input is interpreted.

Check the specific laser’s remote-switch compatibility and activation functions.

      GASCAP and LINK USB-C Compatibility

Both configurations require the Unity Tactical GASCAP USB-C tail cap, which is purchased separately.

The LINK USB-C connector is designed for the GASCAP interface. It is not interchangeable with the traditional SureFire remote-switch plugs used with UE or DS00 tail caps.

The GASCAP’s independent activation button is particularly useful with SYNC because it allows the weapon light to be operated separately from the combined light-and-laser remote switch.

      AXON SL vs. Full-Size AXON

The AXON SL has one button. The full-size AXON has two.

      Configuration Button arrangement Primary function
AXON SL Standard Single angled button Light control
AXON SL SYNC Single angled button Simultaneous light and laser activation
Full-size AXON Standard Two buttons Separate light and laser control
Full-size AXON SYNC Two buttons Combined light/laser activation and separate laser control

Choose the AXON SL when a single control surface provides the operation you need. Choose the full-size AXON LINK USB-C when separate control surfaces are preferred.

      Mounting and Construction

The AXON SL features a high-impact polymer housing and a 45-degree angled button.

It mounts directly to an M1913 Picatinny rail using the supplied hardware. An optional AXON SL M-LOK mounting kit allows installation on compatible M-LOK mounting surfaces.

The compact single-button arrangement reduces the space required for remote controls on the handguard.

      • Color: Black or FDE
      • Configuration: Standard LINK USB-C or SYNC LINK USB-C + Crane

Select the lead length based on switch placement and the location of the connected light and laser.
