HESCO’s L211 plates are purpose-designed for missions where concealability and ease of movement are equally important.
Their 200 series is an armor plate series that has been created to protect the wearer against multiple Special Rifle Threats (SRTs), and it provides excellent protection against medium and light armor piercing rounds (AP). At the same time, these low-visibility plates are perfect for operations where concealment is a mission requirement.
They are light and comfortable enough to be worn for long duty hours without causing fatigue and excessive discomfort. At the same time, your L211 plates are reliable enough to protect you from various military rifle rounds. Since it focuses on quality and value, it offers a strong balance of both.
The L211: Built for Your Next Mission
These personal body protection armor plates are built from the ground up with advanced composite materials, which makes them both durable and reliable enough to be counted on—even in hostile environments. Every HESCO 200 series body protection plate, including the L211, is coated with water-resistant materials, making it largely impervious to the weather. Their polyurethane coating is one of the key reasons for the longevity of your L211 plates.
They can protect you against most of the commonly available military rifle projectiles, such as the AK-47’s incendiary and armor-piercing round. They can also absorb the impact of the M4/M16, including both the 5.56×45 M855/SS109 (steel-penetrator NATO green tip) and the M193 (55 gr lead core) loads, along with the newer and more powerful 5.56 M855A1 Enhanced Performance (EP) rounds.
These plates are available in tough Cordura fabric finish and are highly cost-effective without compromising either their build quality or their protection abilities against a broad range of threats.
Weighing a mere 5 lbs, these plates can easily be worn concealed without discomfort. They come in a single configuration: a single-curve 10×12 shooter cut. In addition, all L211 plates are compatible with BI L110 SRT Side Plates to give you 360-degree protection from different pistol and rifle rounds.
HESCO subjects all its body plate protection products to a broad array of extremely stringent tests. The 200 series is no exception to this rule. That’s why the L211 plates also go through the following tests prior to onward shipment to the end customers:
- Operational durability tests for determining their resistance to vibration, high impact, and shock
- Tests to ensure a very high degree of resistance to fluids, fungal growth, and chemical agents
- Stab tests for greater protection against the threat of edged weapons
- Multiple tests to determine ergonomics, flexibility, and comfort
- Kinetic impact tests that include ballistic, blast, and fragmentation
