The Hesco 3000LV is a series mate to the venerable 3800 and is an in-conjunction (ICW) plate.  The 3800LV is designed to be worn over IIIa armor or with a IIIa plate backer and is not designed to be used as a stand alone plate and is .55″ thick and is 2.1 lbs.  The 3800LV is designed to stop many lead core and 7.62×39 M43 mild steel core rounds.  Overall, a very light and thin option for those that wear armor, and wish to upgrade protection and avoid extra bulk.  Plates are sold in a two plate set, covering front and back.
